The Plaid Avenger Flips the Syllabus

At least that is what he calls himself. John Boyer. Professor at Virginia Tech. Committed to student-centered learning and open to redefining it for the current way kids and technology work. He makes a solid case for logic as well as analogy of form – if we shift from teacher to student-centered learning, why not flip the syllabus as well? Well, actually, maybe this idea is not new. But it surprises me how in this 21st century, so many class structures are still , well, “not there”…
