a change is inevitable, indeed. but it seems with every change is also a different set of pros and cons. my question revolves around a few issues – 1)veracity of available information (how can one be sure what one reads is true?), 2)actual vs virtual experience (what if the limits of simulation override actual real-world unpredictability?), and 3)wisdom and patience (if everything is more immediate, how do we practice consideration of other issues of a topic to discuss in a wise, informed way?). this is not something that ‘im asking to finger-point technology as an insidious meanie. one must acknowledge and consider, however, the culture of immediacy that is the real product of a technological age.
